take-to-the-skies

after drawing a few times on my tablet, i've started to pick up on areas where i'm going wrong! so i'm making a list, for future reference, to try and help improve my shit. first off is basic face shape! i need to look at, consider and practice different styles and getting features in the right place then i need to work on drawing eyes then general facial expressions for now i'm gonna totally avoid even thinking about drawing bodies and stick with learning faces x) in terms of colouring, if i'm going for the traditional anime style, i need to be less over the top with highlights and shadows...shadows alone, when place well, will be suff

so ummm, since i have 3 month break with nothing to do, i figured i'd work on drawing in the manga/anime style! i say 'work on' but what i actually mean is ermm...start from scratch. haha. :) i have 2 books to help me along the way, kindly given to me by !Holly-Mellor (https://www.deviantart.com/holly-mellor) :3, which i've been reading to try and get better at drawing. haven't really done much other than practicing faces and facial features so far, but i have a few doodles which i may upload for you to laugh at. think i'm gonna try drawing some characters soon, maybe from mirai nikki or another! they're gonna be baaaaaad and also in pencil and scanned! but i'm hoping to g

and i'm back on dA. just been using the site more recently to find pretty things to look at because well...procrastination. i literally haven't posted anything of worth in months, maybe i'll change that after my exams are over?
